Project Name : Program to issue certificates of conformity for the goods that are imported to Iraq

Al-Idan Information Technology Company is the exclusive Supplier of GEO-Chem Middle-East, whom are contracted with the Central Authority for Standardization and Quality Control in order to issue a certificate of conformity for shipments of food, non-food, and cosmetics products that are exported to the Iraqi market.

In March 2020, the Central Authority for Standardization and Quality Control (COSQC) appointed Geo-Chem Middle East as a certified company to issue this certificate.

Since this certificate is mandatory certificates for the clearance of goods, shipments will be rejected without a matching certificate or failing to meet the requirements of the new certification program in
the country of arrival.

Request for a Certificate

Laboratory analysis / approval of the cots
Inspection and inspection of each shipment (A)
Check every three months, 10% to 20% of each shipment (B)

In order for the food, non-food and cosmetic products that belongs to merchants, importers and manufacturers enter the republic of Iraq they must comply with the requirements of the Central Authority for Standardization and Quality Control (COSQC) once the goods have successfully passed the Iraqi customs clearance process, they are allowed to pass through.

The purpose of the mandatory compliance with the requirements of the Central Authority for Standardization and Quality Control:
it is to protect the health and safety of consumers by regulating the quality standards of goods entering the country. It also supports the customs clearance process faster and more reliable for food and cosmetic companies, local agents, food and cosmetic manufacturers, and wholesale distributors

Final invoice/fill statement
A copy of the transport document (air or sea freight policy, road certificate…)
Declared border entry point in Iraq (can be completed at RFC or in any other source connection)
Approval of compatibility (only for registrants (method B)
Laboratory analysis report of the product issued by ISO 17025,
Inspection and sensory examination with product images,
Information and photos about the name of the product and marking it (copies of posters/prints or pictures)
